Our Social Security Disability Services
There are two main Social Security disability programs:
- Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI)
- Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
SSDI is available to individuals who have earned sufficient work credits by working long enough and recently enough earning taxable income and who have a qualifying medical condition or disability. SSI, meanwhile, is available to people who are either 65 or older, blind, or disabled and who have “limited income and resources,” as defined by the Social Security Administration (SSA), regardless of work history.
At Affleck & Gordon, we assist clients with both SSDI and SSI claims, including preparing claims, filing initial applications, appealing denied claims, litigating claims in federal court, and all related matters. We encourage you to reach out to our Social Security disability attorneys today to learn more, including how we can help you with your SSDI or SSI claim.
